Maricel is the perfect example of what it means to be a great nurse. Her compassion and dedication to help our patients go beyond expectations. She is also a great leader and team player to the rest of the staff. I’m honored to work alongside her.

Maricel is an amazing LVN. She goes above and beyond for the patients she cares for. An example is when she was giving a fit kit to a patient. He verbalized that he thought he was doing it wrong because he had to keep repeating it. Maricel took the time to open up a kit and explain the procedure to him, demonstrating how to place the paper, the "poke", etc. He was so thankful for the time she took with him and ended up successfully submitting the test. This was just ONE example of the multiple above and beyond moments she shows EVERY DAY. Additionally, her willingness to participate in DM A1C outreach and success rate with her outreach methods are extraordinary. Her efforts have led to an almost 50% success rate with A1C outreach and follow-through! Maricel is definitely an exemplary nurse and an asset to KP.

Maricel is known for being an incredible leader and compassionate nurse who provides empathetic and excellent care, and for her incredible encounters with patients and co-workers alike. Additionally, Maricel works on many projects to increase efficiency in the department. Maricel is a Sr. LVN and provides leadership support to management and her peers.
