Marichelle provided constant support to my father and our family. Her warm, affectionate, pleasant nature was so greatly appreciated.
Marichelle looked after my father on a few occasions when he was admitted into this ward. My father had severe dementia and was non-verbal, he was completely dependent on us for everything. It was so difficult for all concerned every time he was admitted to the hospital. Marichelle provided constant support to my father and our family. Her warm, affectionate, pleasant nature was so greatly appreciated. She went above and beyond several times, she stayed after her shift to facilitate a face-time with my father. She also made sure a little radio was playing in my father's room (as he was isolated due to a COVID scare).
On a separate admission, she was just as amazing. She remembered us and my father and took great care again. This time my father was really unwell and had repeated seizures, my sister was very upset and Marichelle hugged her and did everything she could to help even given that they were very short-staffed. I can't thank Marichelle enough for her compassion, professionalism and just being an all-round lovely human being, she's a credit to Ward 42 and our NHS. My father sadly passed away later.
