I am a 53 year old patient of the oncology clinic. I would like to nominate Maricris a nurse from the oncology clinic who always shows love and concern to me as a cancer patient. Maricris always makes sure that my Chemo medicines are ready by the time I come to the clinic to collect and to do some blood tests. Even when she is on leave, she reminds her colleagues of this. Aside from this, she answers my messages for any query that I have sent her – even on a weekend and or at night time. Her biggest concern is always my CBC result, as I always have a low hemoglobin. Even when she is on leave, she sends me messages asking how is the result of my hemoglobin? If I need to do a blood transfusion, she always advises and encourages me to do it and not to refuse it as it will make me feel better and on the right level. I am thankful to this cheerful, wonderful, sweet, loving angel in the oncology clinic who has concerns for her patients. I have never encountered or seen a nurse like her. She is always happy to help with a smile for her patients.
