Marie cared for me during my postpartum stay, and her presence was truly a blessing during one of the most vulnerable times in my life. From the moment she began caring for me, her calming presence and gentle demeanor made an incredible difference in my experience as a new mother.
Breastfeeding was a challenge, and I struggled with confidence and self-doubt. Marie not only offered practical support but also empowered me emotionally. Her words and actions made me feel seen, capable, and strong. I still hold close what she told me during a particularly difficult moment: “You are everything your baby needs. You are enough.” Those words continue to give me strength.
Each time Marie cared for me and my baby, I looked forward to seeing her. She made me feel supported and reassured that I wasn’t alone in this journey. When it was time for us to leave, Marie went out of her way to say goodbye and check in on us one last time. She celebrated our accomplishments as new parents and welcomed our baby with such joy and warmth. That moment stayed with me; she made us feel truly loved and cared for.
Marie exemplifies what it means to be a DAISY Nurse. Her compassion, encouragement, and loving care left a lasting impact on me, and I will forever be grateful to her for helping me through such a meaningful and transformative time.
