I just wanted to write and brag about the staff at Southeast Health from our visit, and to commend Marie Lish. We took our 21-month-old son to Southeast Health after having some issues with discharge, bleeding, and fever following a procedure he had done a few days prior.

The initial assessment team was courteous and had us at ease with how they interacted with our son. We were then taken to our room and that’s where we met Marie. She was professional, and courteous, wanted to make sure that our son felt safe and that we were put at ease as parents. Even after having to get stuck twice to try and get a blood sample, she still was able to make us feel that he was okay and in good hands. She even brought him a peace offering of a graham cracker that made him light up.

Having grown up in a hospital myself, being the son of a physician, and having to be treated myself for various injuries, this experience was one that stood out above the rest. She helped keep two panicked parents calm and treated our son with care and compassion. We will always remember this experience.
