Marie was so kind, compassionate, and most of all empathetic.
In October, I was admitted to the second floor. I was admitted with a pulmonary embolism and found out that I have PAH CTEPH IV. Since the diagnosis, I have been a rollercoaster of emotions. See, I've been an oncology nurse for 85% of my career and hearing those words totally devastated me.

I arrived at my room right at shift change, and this is where I met my angels. Marie was so kind, compassionate, and most of all empathetic. She took the time to listen and while I finally broke down and cried, she offered words of wisdom. She even held my hand and reassured me that "I'm a strong woman and I will get through this."

I've been a nurse for 30 years and for a nurse to stop what she is doing especially change of shift, speaks volumes of the kind of nurse and angel she is. So I ask, please recognize Marie for her outstanding compassion. Thank you, Marie, for bringing a rainbow and lifting me up!
