Marie had received a call from a patient that had been discharged to home the day before. The patient stated that he had never received his nebulizer and wasn't sure how to get it. The call was received later in the day and case management wasn't available to see if it had been ordered and to verify delivery. Since Marie knew this patient and knew they needed the nebulizer, Marie was able to get a nebulizer from the supply that the hospital has. Marie delivered the nebulizer that evening to the patient at his home so that he had his nebulizer. She went above and beyond to get this patient what he needed at home.
