MaeMae was able to raise so much for this project that the school was able to remodel and create three restrooms for the children. We are now collecting books to send to this school to assist with the gift of learning.
Marie Mae (MaeMae) Bayot, LVN exemplifies professionalism, compassion, and kindness when talking to her pediatric patients and their frightened parents or families. MaeMae provides high-quality patient-centered care and her consistent attention to detail, and unstoppable work ethic are palpable.

One parent shared how appreciative she was of the care that MaeMae provided to her daughter - she wanted to thank MaeMae for informing them each step of the way, as they were able to quickly get all the answers to their questions.  In addition, the process went so smoothly. The parent shared how MaeMae was so patient and thorough, and even had several pop-in visits to see them.  In addition, the parent shared how thankful she was for the follow-up process, she felt that her daughter was in good hands and had been well cared for.

Another parent shared how hard it was to have her child go through surgery, but how MaeMae helped it go so much smoother.  She shared how MaeMae gave them all the details for before and after surgery.  She was very detailed and gave great patient care.  The parent wanted to thank MaeMae for her great care and concern.  She went above and beyond.

It is the norm for MaeMae to volunteer to go the extra mile without others knowing, this is just to ensure each patient feels they have received exceptional care. Her hand is always one of the first to go up to volunteer for anything needed.

In fact, this past year MaeMae rallied her colleagues to support the remodeling of school children’s bathrooms in the Philippines. The fruition of this project has allowed beautiful children to wash their hands with clean water and have a clean restroom to use while at school. MaeMae was able to raise so much for this project that the school was able to remodel and create three restrooms for the children. We are now collecting books to send to this school to assist with the gift of learning.

During the most stressful times experienced in health care these past few years it was appreciated to have MaeMae’s infectious positivity, contagious laughter, and steadfast desire to make things better in and outside of her work environment has brightened a time filled with unprecedented uncertainty. It is with honor we recognize MaeMae with the DAISY Award. Her unwavering commitment to her patients speaks volumes to the outstanding nurse that she is!
