I am a leukemia patient so needless to say I have been at Rush many times. Sunday, I was the sickest I've ever been and I want to tell you about my nurse, Marie. I had the worst pain I've ever had; it just hit me like a brick all at once. I called in Marie, she saw what terrible pain I was in and she immediately got ahold of my doctor and got approval for pain medicine and had that medicine in me, helping me. She suggested soothing music and found it on the TV for me. She then got me hot packs for comfort and I just want you to know she moved fast and it made a huge difference for me. Frankly, I had my worst day ever, but with Marie as my nurse, I made it through. I want you to know Marie made a huge difference.

Thank you, Marie, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
