Marie is one of our lactation consultants and is retiring after an impressive 22-year career.
Marie started her nursing career caring for terminally ill patients and their families during the transition from the end of life to peace after death.
After her first baby was born a few years later, she transferred to labor and delivery, also working in post-partum and then the NICU.
Since the early 1990's she has focused on her IBCLC certification and has been involved in education in various modalities.
She is humbled by the opportunity to work with moms to be successful at breastfeeding. Swedish Ballard is grateful to have included Marie in our staff. She is the consummate teammate and will be sorely missed.
