Mariel was an absolute gem to have during my postpartum recovery. My newborn was taken to NICU for observation due to low blood sugar levels. I was given the option to give him formula to get his weight and sugars on track. When my newborn was brought back to my room, I was told he needed to be fed formula every two hours. My spouse and I were feeling very unsure of ourselves with this feeding schedule, but Mariel coached us through it with a lot of support and praise. She also offered to take the feedings so we could get much-needed rest. Mariel also knew how important it was for us to get back home to our toddler. She stayed on top of all the doctors to ensure we could get discharged in a timely manner, all while frequently communicating next steps to us. Mariel kept me and my baby comfortable and safe. We are so thankful we had her as our nurse!
