Being an ED nurse is already a very busy, stressful job but this colleague of mine went above and beyond her call of duty during a shift we worked together. I viewed Mari helping a homeless, demented man who was brought in from rescue off the street to find his daughter. After taking care of all his physical needs, Mari worked with our social worker and found this patient’s long-lost family. Our ED sees a high volume of homeless and she is a great advocate for this population. I am proud to work alongside such a caring and competent nurse. Thank you, Mari!
