Marikay was nominated by one of the many nurses whom she has precepted along her 20+ years of nursing! Marikay serves as a true role model for anyone in the nursing profession! She puts her patients first and is not only clinically skilled and strong, but she is always there to meet the needs of others. As a charge nurse, she anticipates the needs of all the staff and patients on the unit with such skill. Just being around her makes others feel like they are better! Her personality is infectious! Throughout the day she keeps spirits on the unit high and gives out high-fives freely. Marikay is a preceptor who shares her knowledge and education with love and respect and is so appreciated by all those who have gotten to learn from her. Marikay is simply amazing!
