Marilyn is a very compassionate, selfless, caring nurse who goes above and beyond to make her patient comfortable spending a little more time talking to them to alleviate their fears, communicating with surgeons to clarify questions they have regarding their surgical procedure, taking time to call Social Services for issues that patient can be helped with when needed. She hates to see patient experience pain. We have a patient who comes for pain management and if she sees Marilyn working, feels happy and safe because she asks anesthesia for numbing medication before starting her IV.

We can always count on her whenever we need somebody to work, add shift, or do a lumbow puncture procedure or be in pain management room for the day, even on a short notice, she always obliges gracefully and never complains. She volunteered to work and helped changed our supply PAR level even with her left hand in a cast.
