Marilyn is the definition of an extraordinary nurse. As a Labor & Delivery charge nurse, she leads with compassion, confidence, and exceptional clinical expertise.
From my first day on the unit, Marilyn took me under her wing, patiently answering questions, teaching the “why” behind every decision, and helping me build confidence as a new nurse. No matter how busy the shift, she always made time to mentor and support those around her.
Marilyn’s kindness extends to every patient she cares for. She provides comfort, reassurance, and exceptional care during one of the most important moments in a family’s life. She also creates a culture of teamwork where nurses feel supported, respected, and empowered to learn.
Marilyn’s mentorship, compassion, and dedication have made a lasting impact on my career and on our entire team. She truly embodies the values of the DAISY Award and is incredibly deserving of this recognition.
