Marilyn was nominated by a RN co-worker who recognized her for the caring presence she provided to the writer during the time period she was a new graduate RN at Canton. The writer described one particular circumstance involving the care of an ED patient who became angry with the writer for her inability to inset an IV catheter. Marilyn intervened to support both the patient and the new graduate RN. The writer also acknowledged Marilyn as a role model in the way in which she connects in relationship with patient and their families to ensure they receive safe, effective care.

Marilyn is positive and works well with patients, co-workers and other members of the health care team. She always gives 100% and is willing to help anyone with anything.
