Mario wants to make a difference in children's lives, and we are so thankful that God allowed him to walk across our path.
My soon-to-be 17-year-old son dislocated his shoulder on January 4, 2024. My husband, son, and I were not feeling very optimistic and were all very scared. My son was in a great deal of pain. After visiting the local urgent care in our neighborhood they told us his shoulder was too badly dislocated to put it back without giving him anesthetic. They referred us to Driscoll, and we are so thankful to God that they did. We were introduced to Mario in the ER and my son who has an amazingly high tolerance to pain was in terrible pain and extremely nervous. Mario's demeanor, bedside manner, and kindness instantly calmed my teen. I was shocked by how he connected with him on such a great level. Mario and the amazing doctor we had walked us through everything he had done. He used wording that made my son at ease and for that my husband and I are grateful. I have to add that my 16-year-old is a 200 pound, 6'5" "child" and compared to Mario was a GIANT! Mario made him feel so comfortable and even walked us out. After getting home and things settled down, we looked him up on Facebook. We didn't want to be the "weirdos that looked him up," but wanted to sincerely thank him for all he did. Mario wants to make a difference in children's lives, and we are so thankful that God allowed him to walk across our path. We hope and wish the absolute BEST for him in everything he does!
