Marisa Hirschman 3, MMC

Once I was diagnosed in the ED and stabilized, I was admitted to the Post-Critical Care Unit. Marisa was there to receive me. Marisa is amazing. Marisa is incredibly skilled, intuitive, and so very compassionate. I know she was very busy with numerous other patients, but she never showed it, and she never left me when I most needed her. She too, escalated issues as needed; she knew the pain I was experiencing was excruciating and she did everything possible to keep me comfortable. She made sure that new nurses coming on at the change of shift were fully informed of my needs and priorities. Marisa is an amazing nurse and an amazing patient advocate. During many of my 9 days in the Post Critical Care Unit, Marisa was at my side. While my husband remained also at my side and was my rock. In the Post Critical Care unit, Marisa was my lifeline.
