My nurse provided excellent care, was kind, and actually listened to me. They had excellent bedside manner and spoke to me like more of a friend or colleague than merely a patient with physical needs. Marisa answered all of my questions and went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable. Also, our conversations were pleasant and engaging, which allowed me to feel distracted by her empathy. In short, she took me out of my difficult situation, even if for a brief time. I really needed that, and I am grateful to have been provided with such an unexpected interaction, even though she was really busy. I have been in many hospitals, and I was afraid to come here. It is exceedingly rare to find such a kind and compassionate soul. In the end, I am happy I came here. I will practice gratitude for Marisa during my next meditation and journal about my experience here.
