Marisela A Wood, RN

Marisela truly helped me make the best of my stay and I connected with her right away. She was my first nurse after my knee surgery and I’d never been in the hospital before so I didn’t know what to expect. She would come into my room with the biggest smile on her face and help me navigate my pain with consistent medications. If I was upset, she would pull up a chair, sit down, hold my hand and just talk to me until I felt better. I just took it for granted she would be there during my entire stay. On the days she was not scheduled to work, I missed her so much. Even when she wasn’t assigned to be my nurse she made a point to come into my room and greet me. She is a sweetheart and by the end of my stay, she felt like an old friend. Memorial Hospital is lucky to have her!
