I received a phone call from a very nice lady. She stated her husband had a procedure here a few days prior. She went on to say that during her husband's time here at Celebration that all the staff was very nice and competent but there was one "stand out." She stated that Marisol was very pleasant and out of all the staff that she encountered this day, she was the one who stood out in their minds as going above and beyond. She was very complimentary of the way Marisol cared for her husband after his procedure. She felt that she was "kind, caring and very compassionate." As a manager, you are grateful to get these types of calls. Marisol is an exceptional nurse. She has a way of making those "caring connections" with her patients and their families. This is just one example. She brought the CREATION principle of Trust into the care that she provided because this wife felt very safe having Marisol take care of her husband. She also stated she felt that she covered the discharge instructions very well and answered all the question the wife had. She kept describing Marisol as a "standout" and I am honored that she is part of our team here.
