My husband is a patient of Nurse Marisol Mateo. In his words, he speaks about her. Marisol has the special ability no matter what our circumstances are, to help me and make me feel calm and safe. Every need is met with kindness and great care. She does her skills with kindness and grace. She tells you all that she is about to do, draw blood, give meds, saying any questions let me know. Looks at you knowing when you need a blanket, or pillow, a big smile too. I feel so blessed in her care. Making sure my breakfast is so nice and follows up with, "Let’s order lunch." It all matters when you are ill, that your nurse is so wonderful. I can’t say enough of everything she is. She’s a bright spot in my weekly treatment. We have seen her being wonderful to everyone. Speaking as his wife, her attentiveness is breathtaking and personal. Exchanges between her and myself as a family member are not forgotten. Her thoughts of her patient can be seen in his eye, as they fill with tears as he speaks of her when finally resting at home.
