Marissa Carpintero, RN

Marissa took care of a patient in one of our rooms who received a terminal diagnosis and later passed away. During his stay, she made him feel so special. She gave him a bath, and the next day she came back to check on him. She asked him what his favorite snack was, but he would not tell her, so she called his daughter. The patient’s daughter told her he liked Twix and Sunkist. When his family came in the next day, she found both on his bedside table and he told her Marissa had given them to him. This patient passed away several days later and this nurse sent flowers to his funeral.
