Spending three days at Willamette Valley Medical Center, I found the Nurses and doctors to be pleasant, effective, and always helpful. Martiza specifically lit up the room whenever she came to check on me. She always looked me in the eye, had a happy response, and made me feel safe and secure during an unusual time for me. Being in a hospital, not able to do anything for myself, Martiza never made me feel embarrassed; it was not easy for an 80-year-old guy with little left of his dignity. Although she did make me wear those “britches,” Maritza probably didn’t do anything that she didn’t do for others, but for me, my experience was so much more meaningful because Maritza was there.
