I would like to nominate Marjorie for the DAISY Award due to her kindness and the caring customer service she provided to me. While in the emergency room, Marjorie asked me how I was doing and listened to me describe my two day's worth of symptoms. She provided good eye contact when speaking, engaged in polite and funny conversation, and ensured Dr. S came to attend to me quickly. In addition to those actions listed above, Marjorie arrived promptly at my room whenever I pressed the call button. She displayed compassion while rendering nursing care to me. As my stay in the ER came to an end, Marjorie made sure to explain every piece of discharge paperwork I received before departing.

Overall, Marjorie is a great nurse and treated me very well at MedStar Southern Maryland Hospital Center's Emergency Department. I enthusiastically nominate Marjorie Plaudis as an extraordinary nurse who deserves the DAISY Award!
