He was busy but never acted too busy for me. He made me feel like I mattered, and he genuinely cared that I was in a lot of pain.
The moment Mark walked in the door, he immediately spread his love and light throughout the room.  I wasn’t doing very well when he came on duty. Little did I know he was exactly what I needed. He was busy but never acted too busy for me. He made me feel like I mattered, and he genuinely cared that I was in a lot of pain. He pulled up my chart to see what I could have. That was his first goal - to get my pain under control. His kindness and friendliness got me back together again. He took the time to listen, and let me just say, I know he was super busy! Little did he know before he started his shift, I was in a severe meltdown. He made me laugh and let me get my feelings out and to move on. Mark receiving this award would mean so much to me.

Mark is there for a lot of people and even works extra days so he can help fellow coworkers. For him, it really is about his patients and says, “I am just doing my job.” Go meet Mark, you will see what I ‘m talking about. He deserves this award. So many people have told me stories about all the people he has helped. He has been my saving grace! Thank you, Mark!

I had the great fortune of having Mark as my nurse. He is an absolutely sensational nurse with a caring, compassionate, and dedicated heart. Mark is timely and committed to giving 150% all the time.  He made my first hospital stay outside of having children, one of the best experiences I’ve ever had.

Mark does what he says he is going to do, when he says he’s going to do it, and he does it with excellence.  He demonstrates integrity and while making me feel as though I was the only patient he had.  There are few nurses who exhibit the level of knowledge and passion as Mark. No one wants to be in the hospital, but having Mark as my nurse alleviated anxiety and fear.  If there were more nurses like Mark, more patients would trust the healthcare system.

Thank you for delivering exceptional care at the most vulnerable time in my life.  From timely medication administration to refreshing an IV site in the wee hours of the night, you were there whenever needed.  You are professional and kind.  I will always remember how you made me feel.
