I am telling you-- this nurse is absolutely made to work in the cancer unit. He is patient, kind, caring, and funny. This nurse brightened my day and, for a while, helped me forget why I am here. I am not sure he understands what his caring attributes mean to his patients. My other nurses have also been great, but I want to nominate this nurse because he goes above and beyond to truly make you feel special and let you know he is here for you 100%. You can feel his compassion is genuine and that means the world to me as his patient. This nurse goes above and beyond to make sure my water is full, and that I have everything I need before he leaves the room. I am 100% taken care of when he is my nurse.

Unfortunately, I had to be in the hospital on my birthday. A few days later, this nurse came into my room with a birthday balloon saying, “Happy late Birthday”. That made my day so much brighter. I was so sad that day because it was my late father’s birthday. I felt like my dad sent an angel to me through my nurse because he knew how scared I was during this time. I hope you can pull this nurse aside and tell him how special he made me feel. Thank you, Mark Bray, for getting me through this time. Keep doing what you are doing!
