Mark C Matye, RN

Mark is always there to help. He goes above and beyond every day for patients and even potential patients. We had someone wanting to be admitted to the unit, but had some concerns. Mark spent over two hours with the individual, telling them that he cares and wants them to be safe. He shared parts of his own story to partner with the person.

Once the individual decided he was not ready for inpatient care, Mark sat with him and talked until his support person and ride came to pick him up. Despite the long and sometimes frustrating situation, Mark remained calm and kind. The individual ultimately shared that he plans to come back when he's ready because of the care that Mark provided.
