He spent time getting to know a long-term very delirious and developmentally delayed patient. Through trial and error with strategies to help this patient participate he not only repaired trust with the family but also helped this patient meet the goals required to get strong enough to discharge home with his mom. The patient does not recall much about his months in the PICU, but he asks for Mark by name. He made a special impact.
