I really appreciate the effort he makes in making me feel comfortable and how he goes above and beyond.
I have been receiving infusions at Mayo Clinic for almost two years now. I don’t recall exactly when I first met Mark, but it sure seems like he’s been with me from the beginning. I actually intentionally get my infusions done at the Scottsdale location even though the Phoenix building would be closer for me, because I know Mark will be there to take good care of me. Prior to Mark, I would hop around each time from nurse to nurse. For whatever reason, after the first time I had Mark as my nurse, I have had him every time since. Whether he goes out of his way to choose me as a patient or I get assigned to him, I really appreciate the effort he makes in making me feel comfortable and how he goes above and beyond. I have never once asked for a warm blanket, nor have I ever taken him up on the offer, but every single time I come in he asks if I’d like one because he wants to make sure that I am as comfortable as possible. In addition to making me feel comfortable, he really cares about how things are going for me and my family, and it’s not just the superficial, “How’s the wife doing?” He remembers specifics and follows up each time I come in. To me, and I’m sure many others would agree, Mark is the epitome of compassionate and skillful nursing care.
