Mark was the primary RN of a patient who was transitioned to comfort care. The patient was unable to be transferred to inpatient Hospice as we weaned off the vapotherm and the patient declined quickly and eventually died with family at the bedside. Mark showed compassion to the family while managing the patient's symptoms to provide a comfortable death, not only for the patient but also for the patient's family.
