Mark is the true meaning of an RN, and to us, this nurse is an angel. Mark is hands down one of the best nurses I have ever observed or witnessed in my own 24 years of working in healthcare. In the long, tiresome, meaningful last days of my grandmother's life, this nurse went above and beyond. Caring not only for my family or my grandmother, but whenever you see him at work taking care of other residents you can see the comfort he gives to every individual.
Mark would simply put a caring hand on someone's shoulder to redirect them if they were agitated, and that simple touch of a hand and kind word calmed the resident. The approach Mark gives to a resident for a Med pass or in our case, the love, dignity, and respect that was shown to my dying grandmother and the thoughtfulness shown to my family or my grandmothers' friends while being at her side for her last days was wonderful. Mark accommodated every need we requested and went above and beyond to try to give us the answers we were looking for.
