I was referred to Integris for a sedation MRI. I have had at least six that I had to bail out of because of claustrophobia. I had two under general anesthesia over the last few years. When Mark walked me down to the prep area, he explained that this was a light sedation and not anesthesia. My anxiety kicked up immediately, and I told him I wasn’t sure that I could do it. Mark explained the process, helped me prepare, and assured me I would do fine. As I was rolling towards the MRI area, I was very apprehensive and nearing a panic attack. Again, he comforted me and told me I would be fine. He again explained the procedure, the conscious sedation, and that I would have an emergency button to push should I need to get out. They were able to complete the procedure and get me on my way in a timely fashion. I have to say it was Mark’s kind bedside demeanor and his thorough explanation of the process that got me through it.
