Mark Pipher, RN

I would like to recognize Mark for going above and beyond for my grandmother. When she was transferred to the ICU that morning, he was a Godsend. There was zero hesitation. He was composed and skilled to stabilize my grandmother while making her comfortable in a prompt but safe approach.

His communication skills, not only with my family and me, but with the rest of his interdisciplinary team, were excellent. He was quick to notify us on my gram's condition and knowledgeable to be able to answer our questions.

Mark helped my family and I through the transition to end of life care for my gram. We were blessed that he also worked closely with my gram's palliative care physician during her time at Guthrie. There was a day that Guthrie did not have any palliative staff available. Mark set up a Zoom link so we could virtually have Gram's palliative care physician present while on comfort care measures.

He is an extremely skilled RN who advocates for his patients with the ability to educate and support families. Mark is not only a great RN but an amazing person who cares deeply for others and shows unmatched compassion for his patients and their families. He is everything an RN should be and more.

My family and I are beyond grateful for him.
