Mark Rasnick, ADN, RN

Being an ED nurse, most often we aren’t able to follow up on ED patient outcomes. However, today, after a very long, exhausting night shift, I know Mark came to the lobby to check on one of the patients he had very early into his shift, ensuring his patient wasn’t still waiting on a ride home. He then realized the patient was still waiting on MedShore and had been for multiple hours. Mark then with a humbled, genuine, pure heart – sat beside the patient in the lobby with a soft loving voice asked the patient where he lived. Realizing the patient’s address was only a few streets from the hospital he offered him a ride home which the patient accepted graciously. Mark then explained to the patient that he would like to go get the car warmed up and would pull up to the front and come in and get him. That patient was so thankful. Today Mark restored the lost faith in humanity. Since the pandemic started, positivity is hard to find but today witnessing this grace and love for others that Mark without a second guess provided was something worth being noticed and honored! Love Mark!! YOU ROCK! Mark thank you for being THE CHANGE our world needs more of!!
