Our son was admitted to the ICU at AdventHealth Daytona Beach for five days. It was an incredibly terrifying experience for my husband and me—we were out of town, unfamiliar with the hospital and its staff, and deeply concerned about our son’s condition. Mark Rehrig, who was our son’s nurse for three full days, turned what could have been an overwhelming and distressing situation into one of comfort and reassurance.

Mark was absolutely incredible. His professionalism, attention to detail, and compassionate care went above and beyond what we could have ever expected. Mark made sure every aspect of our son’s care was seamless. He not only anticipated our son’s needs but also ours as his worried family. He remembered every visitor’s name from day to day, making everyone feel valued and respected. He always took the time to offer us chairs, water, blankets, pillows—anything that could make our stay more bearable.

What stood out the most was his ability to make us feel comfortable in such an unfamiliar and stressful environment. He communicated clearly, was always courteous, and reassured us with his expertise. Mark’s care and kindness turned an otherwise traumatic experience into one where we felt supported and understood. He truly made an extraordinary impact during our stay, and we are forever grateful.
