I want to recognize Mark for the care he provided my father while in ICU. Over the course of the past two (plus) weeks, we have been blessed to have several exceptional nurses, however, Mark really stood out and we were fortunate to have him supporting us and caring for our family for 5 days. He was not only very attentive to my father's medical needs but was understanding and sympathetic to the emotional toll this took on me as his daughter and decision maker.
Mark not only thoroughly answered my many questions about medications, procedures, potential side effects, and outcomes, he also explained the many machines and sounds as we would frequently hear alarms throughout the day.
The time and effort he invested into helping me understand ultimately enabled me to relax and trust in the care my father was receiving while also equipping me to be a strong advocate for my father's medical care.
My extended family and I will be forever grateful for the way in which Mark shared his expertise and compassionate care with us.
