Mark Tagwalan, MPA, RN, NE-BC

Mark Tagwalan is an outstanding manager. Under his leadership, 3 North has made tremendous improvements in all nurse-driven metrics as well as patient experience scores. 3 North has been HAPI free for over 1300 days! Year over year he continues to increase the number of certified nurses on his unit. Mark leads the Westchester Campus Falls Committee and has run successful and creative fall prevention events over the past two years. He has started new traditions, such as the Holiday Bake-Off, and always seeks to engage his team members. Several of his nurses lead or participated in house-wide initiatives, such as Wellness Fairs and a variety of Skills Fairs. He is an excellent collaborator with colleagues from all disciplines. I have had the privilege of watching Mark blossom from a brand-new PCD into an excellent leader. I look forward to his future accomplishments. Great Leader Has a well-assembled and managed team
