Marla provided the utmost best care to our sweet angel son. The shift swap for Marla was not an easy transition. Our Angel son was crashing from the beginning of her shift and passed towards the end of her shift. She was compassionate to me, my husband, and my in-laws during the chaos of the three codes. She explained everything in depth to us that made sense. She hung every drip with precaution and pushed every medication with accuracy during the high-stress situation. When we finally had to come to terms with the fact that our son's life here on earth was just not meant to be, she provided us with a private room and allowed a few of our family members to bathe, clothe and spend quality time with him after he had passed away. She gave us privacy and provided us with whatever we needed - water, snacks, bathing materials, choices for clothing to place him in and the list goes on and on. She deserves recognition.
