Marla Sanford, RN, BSN

Marla, my RN in preop, was excellent. I have a medical background but she didn’t know. I felt she was very thorough in explaining everything that she was doing which showed not only her knowledge but her excellent patient care. She put me at ease regarding surgery through her friendly demeanor. I especially like the way she explained the call light. She told me to push the red button for anything (which I ended up not needing) not just for an emergency, as the big red button may make you. It shows that she truly wants the patient to be comfortable and have their needs met. She takes the view of patients in a way I have not previously thought while I myself have rounded in hospital.
