Marla had a patient that was anxious regarding the release of the man that had raped her. Marla tried to comfort the patient to no avail. The patient lived in a small community and was scared to death. Come to find out - the parole officer placed the convicted rapist not only in the same community, not only in the same neighborhood - but in the apartment RIGHT NEXT DOOR.
Marla contacted the parole office without good results. She also contacted the local police, same thing - dead end. This was not an acceptable situation.
Marla contacted an associate who is the spouse of the Sheriff of Kewaunee County. His phone number was shared with Marla, and she called him. He just so happened to be at the parole office!
The convicted rapist is now sitting in jail awaiting assignment of a new residence, hopefully far away.
