My husband and I went to the funeral of his Aunt in Tallulah Falls. We decided to spend 1 night in Cornelia to make it easier on my husband (81-years-old). My husband is on oxygen and we brought his oxygen concentrator. When I started setting it up I realized I didn’t have the connector to put the hose from the concentrator to the hose from the nasal cannula. It was 5:30 on a Sunday afternoon. I was in a panic. The Hampton Inn suggested calling the medical center. I spoke with Marlana who was super kind. She suggested coming to the ER to let her see what I had and what she could do. When I got there, she looked at what I had checked the ER then went to the floor to check with respiratory therapy. She came back with several connectors for me. I was about in tears from her kindness and willingness to go above and beyond to help me. I’m a retired nurse and was beating myself up for forgetting something so important; she comforted me and was an Angel to me. Thank you for hiring such kind empathetic nurses!
