We recently had a patient who was deteriorating and in need of being transferred to Critical Care. The patient was extremely anxious, which was adding to her inability to breathe. The patient was wanting to sing because she said that always calms her down. Because the patient was so short of breath, she was unable to sing. Marlena stayed in full PPE at the patient's bedside for 2 hours singing all her favorite hymns and praise and worship songs. This really helped to keep the patient comforted and calm until she could be transferred. Thank you, Marlena, for all you do!
