I was so nervous and felt isolated with this diagnosis, yes there was staff coming in and out when I called but this Ms. Thompson made me feel so special, I felt so hopeful when she spent time and talked with me. I would often call asking for her just to feel that compassionate feeling I felt when she would spend time with me. What a nurse; giving time, compassion, and empathy, all of this to alleviate the pain and fear I experienced with this COVID. Thank you Ms. Thompson for practicing good manners, showing personal interest in my feelings, taking the time to listen to me, and caring for my needs, especially my emotional needs. Ms. Thompson, you are an asset to the Montefiore organization I felt lucky to have her caring for me as my Nurse.
