Marlene is an exceptional nurse in the Operating Room (OR) at Surgicenter. She has a wealth of knowledge and experience in this environment. She strives to perform her role by the standards set by Association of Operating Room Nurses (AORN) and serves as a resource to the staff and leadership. As part of the Surgical Services Partnership Council she brings up pertinent areas for improvement in clinical practice to align practice with the standards set by AORN. Her compassion for working with children as well as adults is evident in her communication and caring manner.
She maintains her certification in both Operating Room Nursing (CNOR) and Pediatrics (CPN), demonstrating her commitment to both professionalism and the patients she serves. She works as a team member in the fast paced OR environment. Marlene also serves in the charge nurse role and collaborates well with the staff and physicians. She exhibits the best and safest care for all her patients and displays her pride in working for Children's.
