Marlys Brummond demonstrated compassion and dedication by going above and beyond her assigned duties to support transport for a patient. She took the time to make phone calls and figure out specific requirements needed for transport. Marlys made sure every detail was set up and ready to go for the day of transportation.
Marlys showed a great deal of kindness and a deep dedication to making sure the patient felt cared for. She made the situation a positive and reassuring experience. Marlys has a heart of gold and cares deeply for our patients at Fairmont. We are blessed to have her on our team!

Marlys assisted with a unique transportation setup for a patient with special circumstances. She established communication with the transport team, formulated the plan, and even did a "run-through" to guarantee a complicated transport would be successful. The entire time, she communicated with staff, leadership, and the patient to promote the most positive discharge experience.
It was inspiring to see such leadership and compassion for a patient. She found a solution that worked well for both staff and the patient. Mayo Fairmont is very blessed to have Marlys as an employee.
