I have been walking beside a family in our church (I am a retired Oncology Nurse of 30 years and now am a Parish Nurse in our church) and I want to call out Marni for being such an amazing RN!!
Marni has walked beside my friend who has a very difficult cancer to diagnose, let alone treat. Marni has gone above and beyond with phone calls in follow up, in clarification, and though S does the scheduling, Marni is right on top of it all. She has provided email summaries of doctor visits, including copies of paper treatment planning. This not only helps the family, but it also helps me walking beside them and my follow up on meds/tests, etc. Marni listens with intent, follows up on details, gives my friend and daughter the feeling of genuine care, and has an appropriate sense of humor too!
I'm impressed with how "fluid" you keep this large system to accommodate changes and schedules. (We could do this in the small cancer center I worked in, but it's impressive, again, with the number of people involved.) Again, I think you are doing amazing work!
