When Marquina Watts came in she immediately went above and beyond. She noticed things my son needed without me asking and made me a bed with clean sheets. One example of her going above and beyond and noticing things before being asked is how she brought in a suction device like the ones used in dental offices. She showed him how to use it himself and brought an extension cord for it so that he could use his free hand. (The other hand being his IV hand). She really is what moms pray for in a nurse. She’s observant, fast thinking, and above all beyond caring. I took the time to write this in hopes that she’s recognized for these things. I’m extremely grateful for mine and my son's experience with her tonight. Thank you for the amazing care you gave to my son. I wanted to thank you for paying attention to our needs and for thinking ahead and finding ways to make both of us more comfortable during this hard time. You've shown your intelligence through your problem solving. You've shown your genuine care for patients and families by going above and beyond for us and making sure that we are well informed about our care plan. I truly feel blessed to have had your care through this process. My son and I are beyond grateful. I hope you feel appreciated.
