Marquita is special. One can tell she actually cares about her patients. She is always willing to go the extra mile. An extra blanket. A drink or a snack. Sharing a story, a laugh, or even tears! And Marquita knows her way around the floor she works on, too! Always gentle with the needle sticks and extremely watchful during the infusion processes. And questions? She generally knows the answers, but when she doesn't, she consults with others to get the accurate information vital for a comfortable recovery and even one's day to day survival! I have experience in several high-level hospitals and in scores of doctors and nurses. All have been excellent during this 15-year journey. Marquita, however, totally stands out as the most compassionate, dedicated, knowledgeable, and down-to-earth caregiver I have ever encountered. She definitely deserves The DAISY Award! Thank you!
