Nurse Marrie is a blessing from God. When everything looked bleak, she used her gift of nursing to change my mom's situation. She was sensitive to my mom's needs, discomfort and distress. Obviously she is knowledgeable, conscientious and intuitive. She was able to quickly implement solutions to increase my mom's recovery. I never knew the bed could change to a sitting position, or that a wedge to take pressure off the hip was available. Sitting her up gave my mom the ability to expand her lungs. By the time I returned from lunch, the tubes were removed. This wasn't even considered an option until the next day (they had tried earlier). Marrie is compassionate and has the ability to keep me and my mom calm. She is pleasant and kind. I believe she treated my mom as she would have treated her own. While the other nurses were nice, I must say that Marrie stands out in my mind. I am grateful to God and to Marrie for allowing God to use her to help my mom feel better. Priceless!
